Center for Hospice Care is a community-based, not-for-profit organization, improving the quality of living through hospice, home health, grief counseling, and community education. Our mission is “to improve the quality of living” for those in our community. Our organization helps patients and their loved ones experience the best possible quality of living even as they face the end of life. We believe Center for Hospice Care improves the quality of living by offering compassionate hospice and palliative care, as well as providing extensive bereavement services for those in our community.
Since 1980, Center for Hospice Care has kept our promise that no one eligible for hospice services will be turned away, regardless of their ability to pay.
We are the only hospice provider in the area that operates two inpatient care facilities. We have a seven-bed facility in Elkhart called “Esther’s House“, and a 12-bed inpatient care facility, the "Ernestine M. Raclin House" on our Mishawaka Campus, along the St. Joseph River.
“This was my first experience with hospice. Everyone was very special helping my husband and both of our families. We very much appreciated all of your help. God bless all you do for everyone you are in contact with.”
“Everyone was wonderful! They were reassuring, they completely focused on my mother and did everything they could to be supportive of my entire family. Very grateful for everyone!”
“Absolutely a great experience, everyone was professional, loving, and caring. THANK YOU ALL.”
“Dad's aide, KATHY, was amazing!! She worked well with Dad & he felt comfortable with her assistance. Dad's nurse, ABBY, was GREAT! She explained & listened to both Dad and me. Center for Hospice Care did a MILITARY honor ceremony for Dad. He was a World War II Navy vet.”
“Center for Hospice Care was the best service we could have gotten. We had another hospice prior to them that was good but "Center" far exceeded my expectations!”
“I only have amazing, positive things to say about the thoughtfulness and care of everyone who helped my husband and our family.”
